You've submitted a customer to collections and they remit payment to you directly instead of the collection agency
Occasionally, after you've submitted a customer to collections and an agency has begun working on your placement, your customer will reach out to you to make payment directly. Don't worry if that happens.
In these cases, you'll need to notify the collection agency working on your placement within 48 hours of any partial or full payment you've received. After that, you'll simply remit the appropriate collection fee to the collection agency within 30 days and you will be all set.
Typically, however, your customer will pay the collection agency and they will remit payment to you directly less the associated collection fee.
